Xradia is a dynamic, innovative technology company.

Position: Optics Production Technician, reporting to the Optics Manufacturing Manager

Req #10-60

Xradia is the leader in high performance 3D X-ray computed tomography imaging solutions for a wide variety of industries, such as materials science, geo sciences, life sciences and semiconductor. We are looking for an Optics Production Technician who will be responsible for running day to day production work to produce Xradia's proprietary optical components. This individual will process production parts, generate and review work instructions and production documents, and generally support manufacturing and production work.

Responsibilities

  • Production and testing of thin film optical components in a cleanroom environment.
  • Assist in improving the yield and decreasing the cycle time for optical components
  • Support quality control inspections and work closely with quality assurance engineers to identify wafer surface defects and prescribe correction action plans
  • Assist in continuous improvement and development work on the production processes.
  • Review production schedule and align resources to meet order due dates.
  • Monitor inventory for parts required for optics production and correct any issues
  • Perform routine maintenance and other support for production tools and equipment
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualification

  • AA Technical school certificate in Electronics, Mathematics and other sciences or equivalent. There will be a 6-9 month training period where the individual will be closely supervised. This may vary depending on the skill level of the individual.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years in a high-tech cleanroom manufacturing environment or lab (please provide documented evidence of training where appropriate). Semiconductor fabrication experience is especially useful. Medical device or rapid prototyping experience is also relevant.
  • Experience with profilometers, optical microscopes and other semiconductor test and fabrication equipment is useful but not required; training will be provided for specific tools and processes.
  • Must have good small part handling skills: there may be a brief demonstration test with sample small, fragile parts to assess this qualification.
  • Must have some experience doing basic support work for production equipment (checking tool condition, performing routine cleaning operations, and managing routine preventative maintenance work).
  • Must be detail conscious, well organized, and be able to take good notes while working. Must be able to follow written and documented procedures.
  • Must have cleanroom experience. Familiarity with high-tech instrumentation is helpful.
  • Must have computer literacy in word processing in spreadsheet applications.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as with a larger team.
  • Must be able to work with some flexibility in work routine or schedule and still manage time effectively.
  • Some demonstrated analytical thinking and aptitude to work on unfamiliar problems is also helpful.
