
With over 20 years of technology industry experience, Rod became CEO of Xradia in 2007. Most recently, Rod was president & CEO of OnWafer Technologies, a venture backed start-up in the semiconductor process control and yield enhancement area, which he led to successful acquisition by KLA-Tencor. He began his career with Tencor Instruments and through the KLA-Tencor merger rose to Group VP, where he was responsible for all customer-facing activities and grew the Wafer Inspection division to more than $800M in revenue. He earned a BA in Physics & Applied Mathematics from the University of California at Berkeley.
Wenbing is the founder and CTO of Xradia. Under his entrepreneurial leadership, Xradia has established itself as a leader in high resolution, 3D X-ray imaging, bringing new and powerful capabilities to the world of research, development and manufacturing. A widely respected expert with over 25 years of experience in developing advanced X-ray optics and X-ray imaging techniques, Wenbing has received two prestigious R&D 100 awards, published over 100 papers, and has filed over 38 patents. Prior to founding Xradia he was a scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and Argonne National Laboratory. He holds a PhD from SUNY at Stony Brook, Long Island.
Lon joined Xradia in 2008 with over 20 years of senior financial and operations experience in high technology manufacturing and software sectors. Most recently he served as VP of Finance at Starview Technology, a process intelligence solutions company. Lon specializes in creating financial infrastructure, positioning for high growth, and M&A. He has held executive positions with Activant Solutions, ADAC Labs, and Space Systems-Loral. Lon earned an MBA and a BS in Finance from California State University, Northridge.
Michael is the resident X-ray microscopy, X-ray optics and X-ray detectors technology expert with over ten years of applied experience in the field. Prior to joining Xradia in 2003 he conducted academic research in high-resolution phase contrast X-ray microscopy and developed X-ray microscope instrumentation, which is in widespread use at synchrotron radiation centers. Michael holds a PhD in Physics from Stony Brook University, NY. For his academic research work he was awarded the prestigious Werner Meyer Ilse Award for excellence in X-ray microscopy.
Kevin joined Xradia in 2010 with 20 years of x-ray and technology industry experience, and has a proven track record in growing businesses, introducing new products and implementing effective marketing strategies. Most recently, Kevin was CEO at MetroSol, a capital equipment start-up in semiconductor and data storage markets, where he took the company from prototype into commercial phase. Prior to this he was VP and General Manager of the Fab Market Division at FEI Company. Kevin has held other marketing and product development roles at Xsil, Ltd., Electro Scientific Industries and Applied Magnetics. He has a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Stanford University and a B.S. in Physics from MIT.
Dean is a 20-year veteran of the semiconductor industry with both engineering and new product development experience. Most recently, Dean was a Senior Director of Engineering at KLA-Tencor where he was employed as a result of the successful acquisition of OnWafer Technologies where he led the engineering team. He began his career at KLA Instruments working on back-end test equipment, and was a contributor at Schlumberger Diagnostics Systems Group developing failure analysis tools utilizing SEM, FIB and LSM microscopy techniques. Dean holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from Santa Clara University, and a California Professional Engineering (PE) license in Mechanical Engineering.
S H has broad-based analytical instrumentation experience across a variety of applications. He began his 20-plus year career pioneering new sales, marketing and business development techniques for Philips Analytical Division in Asia. He also led market-leading efforts and successfully launched several new products while at Hitachi, SEMICAPS, and Frontier Semiconductor. His system experience includes X-ray and electron microscopy, failure analysis, and material and electrical characterization metrology. A prolific author of more than 30 scientific publications, S H holds a BS in Biochemistry/Chemistry and a Teaching & Education degree from University of Agriculture, Malaysia, and an MBA from California Coast University.
Tom is responsible for all Xradia manufacturing operations. He joins us from Bay Advanced Technologies where he drove operational efficiencies by applying Lean Manufacturing principles to the assembly and fabrication divisions. He began his 20-plus year career in sales management at United McGill. Tom then moved to MRL Industries, a semiconductor OEM, where he worked in project and systems management, and manufacturing engineering. Tom holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
With a solid 20+ year track record in semiconductor capital equipment sales, Vahan is responsible for growing Xradia's global sales and field operations. He has served in similar capacities at Tegal, FEI Company, SEZ America, and Cetec Automation. He is also the co-founder of Jasmine Sales Group, a manufacturer's rep company, and has held positions with Prism Technologies and DuPont Photomasks. Vahan earned a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and he serves on the board of directors for InfoNeedle.
